The ConocoPhillips Global Water Sustainability Center (GWSC) research will emphasize advanced technologies, and membrane processes are expected to be at the forefront. Each project will address one or more of the following issues:

        - Reducing freshwater consumption

        - Lower operation cost related to water and wastewater treatment

        - Minimize the environmental impact due to wastewater discharge

The majority of projects will focus on global water issues related to the oil & gas sector with additional focus on water conservation and municipal issues of the State of Qatar.

The GWSC looks forward to collaborating with local universities, governmental organizations and other Qatar Science and Technology Park (QSTP) tenants with similar interests.
