Municipal and industrial water reuse is a critical component of integrated water management policies for developed and developing countries. Advanced water treatment technologies have been developed and optimized to promote safe and reliable water recycling applications. A wide range of water reuse projects have been implemented to ensure water sustainability in major cities worldwide, especially in new developments.

Water recycling and reuse is considered in all of the projects undertaken by the ConocoPhillips Global Water Sustainability Center (GWSC).  Technologies include membrane processes (including reverse osmosis), chemical oxidation (ozone), membrane bioreactors among others.
